Riding in Style
Warm summer days have given way to cool nights as we pass the autumnal equinox in the Litchfield Hill Country. We welcome the arrival of the crisp autumn air, and look for new ways to experience the foliage with its promised vibrant explosion of color. Some will explore the vast walking trails at The White Memorial Conservation Center, while others will ride their bikes or automobiles on our rolling byways. The most fortunate, however, will experience the change of the season on horseback among the regions vast network of picturesque riding trails.
There are a great number of excellent riding establishments throughout the Litchfield Hill Country, but among the finest is R. Folly Farm in Morris, CT. This is where we caught up with author and fine art consultant Lauren Della Monica along with her international dressage trainer and competitor, Javier Gaona. Lauren is pictured above on her statuesque horse Ravel, wearing a Columbo Cashmere blazer, R. Derwin Bengal stripe shirt, and AG white stretch jeans.
Javier looks elegant as always atop Reprice, wearing a custom R. Derwin tweed blazer and shirting. His wool tie and chalet pocket square are handmade in the UK by Seaward & Stearn, secured with a Codis Maya tie bar, also handmade in the UK. Javier's 24K gold plated polarized sunglasses are made locally by Randolph Engineering.
Whatever manner you decide to enjoy the autumn season, please make sure to walk, stroll, canter, or gallop your way into our Ladies Boutique and Men's Haberdashery, to peruse our fall selection or cashmere and tweeds.
